ABOUT PACKAGE

The company's clients are offered inexpensive basic equipment for "shrinkage" construction, which allows at the initial stage to put the log house under the roof, and then proceed to finishing work. If necessary, the company's specialists will calculate the cost of additional options.

The cost of this house is calculated taking into account the classic diameter of round logs 220 mm. At the request of the client, the frame of the house can be made from logs of a larger diameter up to 280 mm (28 cm). For the construction of private houses, in most cases, logs from 220 mm (22 cm) to 280 mm (28 cm) are used. Increasing the thickness of the walls made of rounded logs will reduce the heat loss of the building, as well as give the appearance of the house an elegant appearance. The term for manufacturing a log house from rounded logs and its assembly may depend on the complexity of the project. Logs processed mechanically on special equipment get the shape of a cylinder and have a smooth, even surface, which will significantly reduce the cost of turnkey finishing work in the future.

Wooden houses cut down by hand have an original appearance and special characteristics. For the manufacture of log houses for hand-cut houses, an environmentally friendly winter forest from the Kostroma region is used.

Stages of building a house from a log

Foundation installation

The foundation for the house should be chosen based on the characteristics of the building site and the size of the log house. The choice of foundation for any structure should be approached thoroughly, and its installation should be entrusted to experienced professionals. In some cases, it is necessary to conduct engineering and geological surveys, during which the properties of the soil are studied and a place for construction is determined. Timely geology of the site also makes it possible to avoid mistakes at the initial stage in the design and to select the appropriate type of building foundation.

Assembling a log house

The assembly of the wall set of the log house from rounded logs on the foundation can be carried out at any time of the year. For the construction of houses, rounded logs with a diameter of 220 to 280 mm are often used. If necessary, our company can make a log house from a larger log diameter. A ready-made set of houses, made on modern equipment, is delivered to your site. Jute cloth is used as an interventional insulation during the construction of a log. Our company also offers you to order a hand-cut log house.

Roofing

Currently, a variety of roofing materials are used in the construction of log houses. The most popular are metal tiles, roofing corrugated board, ondulin and soft bituminous tiles. The basic package for building a house from rounded logs includes a temporary roofing with roofing material. At the request of the customer, the company's specialists can perform turnkey installation work using the most modern roofing materials, immediately after the log house is assembled.

Shrinkage of a log house

The log cabin of a house made of rounded or chopped logs must settle and shrink before the start of finishing work. In the process of shrinkage of the log house, the wood shrinks naturally. In addition, there may be a slight decrease in the linear dimensions of the elements and nodes of the structure itself. The technological break after the assembly of the log house to the final finish can be up to 6 months. Modern wood processing technologies make it possible to make a log house from round logs of chamber drying.

Finishing the house "turnkey"

Until the 19th century, wood was the most demanded building material not only in Russia, but also in most countries of the world, therefore, the construction of country houses from logs is traditionally (and deservedly so) carried out today.

Unlike structural materials, log cabins are distinguished by their increased ability to retain heat and environmental friendliness, such walls “breathe”, that is, they are vapor-permeable, which is very important for the microclimate - in such a house a person feels most comfortable.

Now we will talk about how a log house with a corner connection is built into the lower bowl, and we will also show you a thematic video in this article.

log cabin

Note. For construction, and most often, it is spruce or pine, although occasionally larch or cedar is found. The trunk of a tree can have natural shapes, but can be rounded in a special machine, which gives it the correct shape.

But the problem here is that during processing, the upper, youngest, and therefore the most durable layers of wood are removed, therefore, a dacha made of rounded logs, despite its external attractiveness, is somewhat weakened by decorative processing.

Foundation

  • For the construction of wooden houses, as light architectural structures, three types of foundations are used: these are columnar, pile-screw and tape (prefabricated and monolithic) foundations. The last option can be called the most powerful (especially monolithic) and, although its price is slightly higher, it is able to survive the house itself. To dig a trench for pouring, markup is first done using a cord or wire for this.

  • When laying the foundation, it is very important to calculate the right angle - the correctness of the entire structure will depend on this, and if the walls can be erected in a rhombus, then this is unacceptable for the roof. It is very simple to do this - a peg is hammered in the supposed corner and the cords are stretched from it in two directions, one by 3 and the other by 4m, but their ends are bred by 5m and then an angle of 90⁰ is obtained (see top figure). It is important that all dimensions are observed down to the millimeter, then the angle will be correct.

  • To strengthen the tape, it is imperative to tie the reinforcing cage, but install it in such a way that the metal is at least 50 mm covered with concrete - this precaution eliminates rusting. It is also desirable to assemble the formwork for the plinth above the ground level - this is not even a requirement or instruction, but simply the most convenient solution - a prefabricated plinth takes a lot of time. After pouring the foundation, 28 days must pass, and only then can the harness be mounted on it.

Cutting into the lower bowl

Note. Cutting into the lower bowl was the most common method during the heyday of Russian architecture, but nowadays few carpenters choose this method, although it is not ventilated and warm corner connection. But such neglect is not due to the fault of the carpenters, but due to the low awareness of customers. But if you are making a log house for yourself, then such a Russian felling will be the most reliable and simple solution when building a log house.

The first mark is the end center of the log, which is found when crossing the diameters, and in order not to lose it, drive a carnation there, which you then pull out. There will also be a second mark, which you will set with your own hands on a plumb line, and adjust the position of the log in a vertical plane.

The third and fourth marks serve as a kind of limiter, that is, the mark of the maximum protrusion indicates the limit of planting the log, and if the planting depth is greater than the distance from the lower log to this mark, then steles are made on both sides, the so-called “flats”, so as not to leave a gap. The fourth mark of the position of the log in the horizontal plane must be aligned with the control mark, which is applied to the lower log.

Now you need to align the log position mark in the horizontal plane with the control line on the lower log, using a level for this, as shown in the photo above. Now, using a plumb line, you will need to align the end center of the top log with the bottom one. But if it is unstable, then the verticality of the mark is achieved with the help of linings from wood chips of different thicknesses.

After you have set the top log according to the marks, mark the bottom log for cutting the bowl. By the way, gazebos for summer cottages from logs are built in exactly the same way.

For a hidden spike (tail tail), set aside 4-5 cm on both sides of the bowl and draw a horizontal line for its upper plane. To facilitate cutting, make cuts with a chainsaw.

To mark the hidden spike on both edges of the bowl, mark the middle and retreat 5 cm on both sides of the center line, thus obtaining a 10-centimeter spike. For convenience, trim with a chainsaw and then cut down the excess with an ax and / or chisel. With such connections, country houses made of logs are very warm.

Note. When country houses are built from block containers or other structural materials, electricity is often needed to connect the tool, and if it is not, then a diesel generator rental is needed to give. For a log house, electrification of the site is not needed.

Conclusion

Such a project of a country house made of logs has advantages due to the features of the corner cut. Here, at the final stage, not a chainsaw is used to make the bowl, but an ax or a chisel ().

From this, the treated surface is “filled up”, that is, the pores of the cut are smoothed out, which increases its moisture resistance.

In order to turn an ordinary garden plot into a country place to relax, you just need to do everything necessary for a comfortable stay on this site. And what do you need to relax, besides clean air and summer sun? We bring to your attention log cabins of garden houses for shrinkage to choose from - get a place where you can put away all garden tools and where you can drink hot tea in the evening. Such a house will not only comply with the environmental friendliness of the environment, but will also delight you with its appearance.

Do not forget that wood is a material that rots, but this can be easily avoided by treating the log house with a special antiseptic.

For the construction of a log house for garden houses, spruce or pine is used, which, in addition to all indicators of wood, also release useful resin fumes into the air, which are very useful for the human body.

The attractiveness of the house is not even worth mentioning once again, such a house does not need additional finishing, except perhaps for coating with an antiseptic and a special varnish. In such a country house it will be possible to comfortably stay not only in summer, but also in winter.

"Stolichnaya Usadba" offers you a huge selection of log cottages, where everyone will find the perfect solution for their dacha.

- an excellent solution for a new dacha cooperative, whose members have not yet had time to acquire full-fledged cottages or are not going to do this at all. Typically, such buildings have a small area, a simple layout, are quickly built, but are intended exclusively for living in the summer. Garden log houses are of several types:

  • small one-story (from 6 to 30 sq. m) - they have 1-2 rooms. In such houses you can take a break from working in the garden, have a bite to eat and, if necessary, spend the night in the summer;
  • one-story with an attic (from 10 to 40 sq. m). The attic of such a house can be used as storage for garden tools, or make a sleeping place there;
  • attic (from 25 to 70 sq. m). In such houses, the attic is designed for arranging a bedroom and living in the summer;
  • large one-story (from 35 to 80 sq. m.). In them you can fully live with the whole family in the summer and during the harvest season.

Garden house design

Projects of wooden houses of any type should be carried out by professional architects. Despite the fact that rounded, partially dried logs are usually used for the construction of garden houses, they are still subject to shrinkage, which must be calculated and reflected in the project. Otherwise, even a minimal unaccounted change in the original shape of the walls can lead to serious consequences in the form of cracks in window frames and door jambs. A standard garden house project consists of the following parts:

  • terms of reference for design;
  • explanatory note with all necessary engineering calculations;
  • foundation plan;
  • roof plan;
  • drawings of the house in horizontal and vertical sections;
  • floor plan;
  • layout of engineering communications.

By contacting a design and construction company, the client has the opportunity to save money and choose one of the standard options for garden houses or order the development of an individual project, which will cost much more.

Building a garden house

Garden houses made of logs, as a rule, are very light and do not require laying a massive foundation. Under small one-story buildings, it is enough to install the simplest support-columnar foundation, which will perfectly hold the entire structure on itself. The construction of a country house from round logs is carried out similarly to the construction of a full-fledged wooden house. A special board is laid on top of the foundation, and a crown crown is placed on it. The crowns are fastened together with wooden pins, which are installed in a checkerboard pattern. During the construction of walls, the horizontal level of the logs is periodically checked. After installing window frames and door jambs, wiring the necessary utilities in accordance with the project, the garden house is ready for settling and shrinking. For such structures, logs with a diameter of up to 180 mm are used, which are pre-treated with special antiseptic and fire-fighting compounds. Garden houses made of logs- ideal for a miniature plot where a standard house would look bulky. In the case of a large plot of land, after the construction of a full-fledged country cottage, the garden house will perfectly serve as a storage for garden tools, a summer kitchen or an outbuilding, where you can retire and relax in silence, enjoying the aroma of natural wood.

A beautiful country house made of rounded logs leads potential buyers to the idea that such an object is unthinkably expensive. However, small buildings for summer living can have a very reasonable cost. To achieve it, you need to know what you can save on. The article will tell about it.

pros

Small country houses made of logs, in addition to the toy appearance, have a low cost due to the following advantages:

  1. Less material required. Of course, you can build a grandiose vacation spot, but, as a rule, owners for seasonal living are attracted by small objects. You do not have to lay a monolithic foundation, a pile grillage or reinforced concrete pillars is enough. But the device of the filling platform takes away from the owner up to 50% of the total budget allocated for construction.
  2. A summer cottage, as a rule, does not require a thorough interior decoration. On the contrary, the classic design of country houses made of logs is in demand - log walls, plank floors and ceilings. Naturally, the surface is perfectly sanded and varnished.
  3. Cottages are built from lumber smaller in cross section, therefore, the price for it is lower.
  4. But there is a caveat: to leave a tree not insulated without regular warming up means dooming it to premature aging. This cannot be allowed, so you should spend money on insulation, but still it is incomparable with the damage.
  5. The construction time for a dacha from cylindering is significantly less than that of a capital residential building.

If the owners believe that the usable area of the summer cottage is small, they should consider many options for projects with a variety of roofs. For example, a mansard roof device is guaranteed to add a full-fledged second floor to the house.

How to save

In order for the cottage to cost the owner at an affordable price, the construction stages should be correctly implemented. Let's dwell on each in more detail:

Do-it-yourself installation

Having studied all the described methods of saving, you can begin construction. Even with a little skill, log houses will be built quickly. Consider the sequence of work:

All country houses made of rounded timber need to be insulated from the inside. You should start from the attic: on each surface a crate is created for inserting material. Under the future insulation, wiring or water pipes hidden in cable channels are laid. Then the walls, floor and ceiling are sewn up with the selected inexpensive coating.

So, judging by what is written, a small dacha made of rounded logs, built by one's own hands, will cost the owner a sum much less than he thought at first. The most expensive material is a log, other expenses can be optimized, and the structure will not get worse from this.
